Nektar Therapeutic Systems develops advanced drug delivery solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry.
The Exubera allows the user to convert the dry powder formulation of the drug into an aerosolized cloud which they can then inhale into the airways and deep lung where it is absorbed into the blood.  The design goals were to have a product that is easy to understand, comfortable to use for all ages and compact enough to fit easily into a purse or briefcase.
